November 10 (Renewables Now) - French renewables business GreenYellow on Saturday inaugurated the 12.5-MW Petalo de Cordoba I solar farm located in the Colombian department of Cordoba.
The new plant, equipped with more than 27,500 solar panels, will supply renewable power to Colombia retail chain Grupo Exito. The solar farm’s projected output of some 17 GWh per year will be enough to power air conditioners in 27 warehouses of the chain, GreenYellow said.
Petalo de Cordoba I is the French company’s first solar farm in Colombia to inject power into the national grid. GreenYellow previously delivered rooftop solar and energy efficiency solutions to its Colombian customers.
